Hi TJ -

The iPad app description has been updated for 4.2, but the download itself appears to still be 4.1.  The App Store is giving only an "open" option, and not an "update" option.

Hi Hook,

Probably just the Apple store syncing the new app. Give it an hour or so and I'm sure it will sort itself out.

Hi TJ,

Thats oke. I keep you updated if any failures or bugs occurs. Hope all is fixed now so that there will be time to launch Spotify Connect (Update) sooner :-)

Best regards,

Edwin

I saw this too. Just delete the 4.1 app and it will then give you the 4.2. Mine's in and working niceley so far...

Correct! Available as update now in the App store.

No need to delete the app, try the update again, the App Store doesn't always make the update available at exactly the same time in different countries

In fact beware of deleting the app as it will also delete any playlists you have created!

In the app store it was showing 4.2 but for me it would not 'do' anything till i got rid of 4.1. No need to worry about playlists as I have no use for that function.

Just uploaded it, no problem, didn't delete 4.1 first. First impressions - it's faster!

Much faster and the volume control is easier to find, however did have to reboot Naim after failing to find Uniti.  Eagerly waiting for Spotify software update.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Press play and tracks instantly play. I can even close the ipad and tracks play. its only taken 2 months to get here but hey. Lets hope this one is bug free. Finally a revamped n-stream. Maybe lets see

Hurrah! Those of us doing the beta testing have been trying to destroy the thing over the past few weeks. It seems that all the work has paid off, as the new version runs even better than the beta.

Posted on: 11 November 2014 by Mike-B

Not sure about runs better HH,  I'm sticking as it keeps the google analytics.

Posted on: 11 November 2014 by hungryhalibut

Well, it seems speedier to me. It may be imagination of course.

I carried out a delete & reinstall plus a few cache clears & app resets about a week ago & it seemed a bit more responsive, hard to be sure tho'.

Easy update while listening to TIDAL using the USB/iPod port.

Very snappy -- UPnP is now working well.  Thank you TJ!

New app does seem faster and more responsive to me and major bugs seem to be fixed.

Small issue with the Rovi GUI on my iPad2. If I open the search dialog (the magnifying glass) and cancel the iPad keyboard, the long thin text box appears running vertically down the LHS of the screen. It will disappear if I tap anywhere on the screen but this behaviour is a bit odd (maybe it's just me )

Dear TJ, I own Naim Uniti (3.17), music on iMac with JRiver mediapayer, ipad mini retina. Playlist with 750 tracks. which the app "reads" in Upnp on the app. When I want to play the entire list, only 250 numbers come in a list. Can you explain why or what I do wrong? Thank you.

Thank you. Feels better and the "Rovi-issue" and "2:nd track issue" are sorted. Very nice surprise when i woke up this morning

Posted on: 12 November 2014 by ChrisSU

All my playlists are now empty! If, like some, I used playlists extensively, I'd be extremely annoyed about this, but I have only recently started using them in a small way, so for me, it's not a catastrophe.

My comments:

New app does works faster and more responsive.

Bugs seems to be fixed.

Only small thing I experienced was the app can sometimes not find my Synology NAS the first time.

Nice to see updates!

Fixed: UPnP “play now” starts at track 2

Lets see how long it takes me to get out of the habit of tapping track 1!

Works very well and a lot faster. Well done!

Will there be a fix for the android app to cure the non responsive volume control when using an NDX!

I am a late adopter having waited on the sidelines for both iOS8.1 and the Naim App to "settle in". I have to say that at first play today it seems to be very good indeed, I can even get a shade of green as a background . It has been so easy to turn off (by iPad Air) the unused inputs, add internet and DAB radio stations or search through FM . Everything that I have tried so far has been intuitive, is working just fine and looks very good which is so much part of the enjoyment of streaming. Well done and thank you!
