Seems ok now?

Sorry Paul but its not correct ,  its showing stations, but only the listings as we had them a few months ago. - e.g. Naim Choice has lost the new BBC AAC feeds

See my post on the other thread for some more oddities!

Seems there could have been a rebuild today causing earlier issues, the weirdness you mention we think is related to that. Working on it.

Just checked,  Naim Choice is restored & as far as I can see at a quick visual glance it appears to all be restored much as it was before = THANKS

Also my other problem of the bottom screen banner dissapearing is also now OK.  This is  probably an app issue & I have reported it to TJ

I think things are back to how they were before too. Naim's Choice now has Naim Radio again, as well as Radio Paradise 3 times! All Naim's Choice stations maintain 100% buffer now, except for BBC3. Oh, and the bit rate discrepancy on AVRO persists! Not that I'll be losing any sleep over all this - the stations I listen to are all listed at least once.

The 'bottom screen banner' thing is still an intermittent problem for me.....but I can live with it.

My banner vanished too. Killing the app and restarting bought it back. This iRadio malarkey is all liveable-with, but it's all rather too flaky for comfort. It should just work. You turn on Radio 4 on FM at 7 ready for the Archers, and it always works. iRadio should be like that.

I really don't know why we have this,  why would anyone want to select 128 instead of 320 ??

RP from NY is different sometimes so thats OK

Posted on: 25 November 2014 by ChrisSU
If you include the 128 and 192 streams, it's on there 5 times! I hadn't noticed that the NY stream was different, on the few occasions I've checked, it's playing the same track as all the others.

If you live in an area with almost a wet string for internet connection you get download speeds which make 320k really difficult hence 128 and below.

Ha! A wet string! Luxury! We'd 'a killed for a wet string...

Posted on: 25 November 2014 by Mike-B

Wet string !!!   by eke as like we had soggy string,  it were only wet string when the roof stopped leaking, & then we had to share it, me an t' wife, 15 kids & t' mother-in-law all sitting round listening to the string, drip drip drip ................

soggy string, luxury, we had to make a megaphone out of cardboard box (or home as we called it) to focus the sounds from down the road.

Tell the kids today and they won't believe you!!!

Well I have a wet plastic thing, with some rusty old copper inside it. But it works most days.

Since last night, I can now use all the Naim's Choice streams except for RP Naim Exclusive, which won't buffer above 30% and keeps cutting out. The other two RP 320 streams in Naim's choice work fine and maintain 100% buffer, which seems odd.

The banner seems to come and go at random.

I can still listen to the stations I want, so it's not a disaster - just a bit strange.

Pedant point: Copper does not rust!

Posted on: 25 November 2014 by ChrisSU

OK, well it goes bluish green and crusty when it oxidises then!

Sorry Chris I couldn't resist. At least generally copper fouling is easier to deal with.
