Should Naim (dealers) join Black Friday?

Do dealers have a choice?

This was Aldi's rather amusing take on "Black Friday":

Really? I think you'll find it's the other way around. All Hallows' Eve, Samhain  or whatever you want to call it has been going for thousands of years and christian revisionism won't change that.

Really? Hallowe'en may have been around for millennia (and I don't give a stuff about what Christians think or don't think), but trick or treating - the bit I really object to - is a 20th century invention, and a most regrettable import to these shores.

Our world is quickly becoming a more culturally integrated place. Some embrace it. Others are resistant. One thing seems certain to me; griping about it won't change that reality. Thank or blame the internet.

"Culturally integrated" is not the phrase I would have used: we are actually witnessing the death of "minor" cultures (that's not what cultural integration implies) and the emergence of a model which some may find questionable. If they don't "gripe about it", who will?

To say we have no tradition of Hallowe'en is incorrect. Children begging at front doors is another matter. We get people begging at Christmas too. It seems that begging and in some cases flat out demanding money is becoming an accepted bolt on for a variety of things. You won't find anyone who seriously and sincerely celebrates either Hallowe'en or Christmas banging on doors and begging on said religious festival. Christmas has been hijacked as much as Hallowe'en. In it's favour, the latter is over in a blink.

Culturally integrated? Like, everyone being American? Is that what it means?

It it looks like it's the end of the road for the 600s!

No ... at this time there are no plans to discontinue the S600 (nor S400 / S800)...
