Problems using Qobuz?

Posted by: Hmack on 05 December 2014

Up until very recently, I have been a very happy customer of Qobuz, and have used them to purchase a relatively large number of both High-res and Standard-res downloads.

However, around 3 or so weeks ago, I discovered that I could no longer listen to sample album tracks from the Qobuz site. The tracks simply do not 'play' when I select the 'play' option, and so I now cannot browse albums that I might potentially purchase.

I received an email from Qobuz support to say that they had just made a big update to their site, and that the 'streaming' facility would no longer work with Internet Explorer. I believe they stated that these issues might be resolved with Internet Explorer 12 (whenever that might be released). They advised me to use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, and preferably Google Chrome.

Now, I have no desire to use either of these browsers, but I do have Firefox installed on my PC, and so I gave that a go, but still without success.

Is anyone else still able to play sample tracks on the Qobuz site?

It's very often the problem with the first track, the 2nd tends to play - quite odd though. I still use them though as they often have good offers.

this morning one album was ok, one wasn't and as I use chrome, it should work.

Yes it's the same with me.

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand I can't listen anymore but on the other hand I like the idea of them keeping their site up to date.
