Find a Retailer - THE new game for Xmas !

Posted by: Don Atkinson on 11 December 2014

I have come to the conclusion that on the Naim website, "Find a Retailer" is THE new game for Xmas

OK, the map display now works a lot better than a few months back and if you know your geography fairly well you can "mouse-over" a numbered Pin and up pops a link to the associated retailer.

It probably takes a couple of shots to find the shop you are looking for, assuming you know which retailer you are looking for, but that's normal. If you're not sure of your local retailers you simply "fish" till you "find" what you like.

There is no retailer shown on the map for Newbury. We don't have Audio T, Richer Sounds, SevenOaks, but we do have JL but it doesn't have Mu-so - at least, not on display. But no worries, it correlates to the blank map display.

However, a quick run down the alphabetical list of retailers (rather than the map), and "Hey-Presto"........... JL in Newbury is featured as No.82 as a Stockist of Mu-so. A bit disappointing if you and the other yokels of Wiltshire have driven your horse and cart up from the Vale of Pewsey and the item isn't on display. You'd look like a.............bunch of real yokels

And the sophisticated toffs in Oxfordshire have a Xmas puzzle as well. You heard that Oxford Audio Consultants are a top retailer with Naim and other exotic hifi brands, but you're none too hot on the old geography subject. The alphabetical list reveals that Oxford Audio Consultants are  No.112. (the map has them listed as 109) but searching for 112 on the map, (well, you might), takes you up to Carlisle. A nice day out in your chauffeur driven Bentley, and i've no doubt that Peter Tyson is an excellent dealer, but...........really.

Its about time this part of the website was sorted.

Totally useless for the US. I'd go nuts if I were a Naim dealer and I couldn't be found on the site.

The Linn Kleen is a brilliant washing machine, and gets better with the upgrades: the Cykle drum (cut from a single piece of aluminium); the Fabrik washing powder tray/fabric conditioner feeder; the Klik door lock; the Sparkkle sapphire glass door; and the Kwiet isolation base.

I was not making fun of Linn. It's frustrating when opening or looking for a retailer here sometimes you step into some bulbs sellers. With all respect for bulbs sellers.
