I am excited to say that I am going to be making this change in the next months to 6 weeks.
I had a demo at my friendly dealer last week, and spent a very enjoyable few hours listening to a wide selection of tunes on both and comparing them.
I was really impressed with the additional details and musicality I was hearing with the SN2/NDX combination, but I guess it was a bit of an unfair competition in the end.
When I added in the future flexibility and improvement options that this set up would give me, my decision was made.
The Superuniti has been fantastic, but never having been up the Naim product hierarchy, Ive had a niggling feeling that I wanted more of what the SU has given me, but at the next level.
And now having compared them, and having the chance to make the SN2/NDX purchase, 2015 is looking good!
My dealer has ordered both together, and until I sell my SU, I will probably 'pimp it up' with the SN2 for a couple of weeks using it as pre-amp for the SN2 and streamer so Im still able to play music.
The NDX will remain at the dealer until I have sold the SU and got the funds to complete the purchase.
My dealer offered to let me have both straight away, but Im a bit old school like that preferring to pay for it before I get it!
From what I have read on here I think I need to be prepared for some ups and downs for a month or two until the SN2 has settled down.
If anyone has any other advice for me, apart from to sit back an enjoy the ride, Ill be glad to hear it!

The XPS DR looks like being the first target. However as soon as I get another box I'll have to buy a dedicated rack unit of some type which in turn will revolve moving furniture to accommodate it and disposing of an armchair so the cost will not just be the box but probably another £1500 at least on furniture. The job is suddenly growing like Topsy!
The whole 'where will I put the rack,' 'I have to move furniture,' etc etc issue is a great promotion for OneBox(tm) solutions.

Sorry HH.....
But you are in a happy place with your system, and mighty fine your room and set up looks too, if you dont mind me saying so.
I guess you've been all the way up the Naim ladder and then back down a little to settle at simplicity and quality.
In my case I've had a taste, and still have a thirst.
Unless we move to a bigger house or I win the lottery I won't be able to add too much more!
Have a good Xmas, and thanks for your wit and advice on here, always good to read.

Thanks Chris! I'm sure you will absolutely love the new setup. If I ever have a better system again, I'd like what Bart has - the NDS, 555ps, supernait 2 and hicap. It represents a perfect balance of quality and size, and is nicely source first. I've got two boys to get through Uni and to be honest if I had £15,000 to spare I'd buy an Eriba caravan - how sad is that!! The likelihood of moving from the SU in the short to medium term is therefore smaller than a very small thing. But I really don't care: my little system sounds great, and the longer I have it the more I like it. Merry Christmas to you too. ????

I finally got to hear a SuperUniti today. I've been wanting to listen to Magico S1 speakers, and instead of bringing my SN2 to the dealer, I just had a listen with their demo SU. I was VERY impressed. Obviously I was listening to a new-to-me amp, and new-to-me speakers, in a professionally designed room. And due to network issues at the dealer (they are not immune), the source was at first my USB stick, and then analog IN from a $12,000 Moon dac as they couldn't get their server online in that room.
If I had to live with a one-box solution for my main system, no question I'd be happy with a SuperUniti. All the Naim sound I've been listening to at home with my Nait XS and now my SN2. All in a box laid out on the outside exactly like my NDS, but with a volume control. And the SU / Magico combo sounded brilliant. I was surprised.

Good to hear your thoughts Bart.
Without a reference point it (apart from a Uniti 1) in my case, it has been difficult to rate or make a comparison, apart from to say that I thought it was fantastic.
My latest move is progressing well, though as HH pointed out in the Systems thread, I still have some improvements to make!
Despite that, I'm at the halfway stage in my transition and thoroughly enjoying it so far.
Happy New Year!
