Spotify issue

Hi folks, just downloaded the update for spotify onto my UQ2. Install seemed to go okay second time round. First time it stalled at 93%. Anyway I am using my iPad to control spotify but the strange thing is I consistently only get about three seconds of music then seven seconds of silence then music for three, silence for seven. I have tried selecting the lowest bitrate for spotify, no difference. Sounds like a buffering issue but music from Upnp works fine. Anybody got any ideas?
