hi

I bought the necessary usb to 232 cable to do the update but both connectors have screw terminals meaning I can't connect them.

thanks

I'm not in Hampshire but I bought on Amazon a Logilink USB 2.0 to Serial Adaptor (which was recommended somewhere on this forum). It included a USB cable and does the job. About £12.

I had the same problem with my NDX. I wrenched them off with pliers - off the cable, not the NDX.

Naim documentation seems to imply that the serial cable is mandatory for the NDX. Not so ! Did I a successful upgrade yesterday with my Mac - just needed to install the specific drivers. All went well over mini USB.

Thanks all,

Mine is a Qute with the RS 232 serial on the back rather than the USB. i've managed to do this now and it all seems to have updated ok:-)

Cheers
