System Pics 2015

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 21 December 2014

It's the 21st of December, so it's time for the new System Pics thread.

The SuperUniti and UnitiServe are the same as last year, but the Hutter rack and PMC twenty.23s are new.

Now if you'd asked me to see my cameras and lenses and lighting you'd have been more impressed.

Hi Yeti,

It may well be a shame but what you see here is the 'new' cherry!  At least on the bases, first shelf up and top shelves it is.  Its not that easy to tell from the photo but the remainder is original cherry which is quite a bit lighter.

Cheers,

Ian

Dreaming.

Steven,

Dreaming is just how I started 25 years ago when I could finally afford something Naim; a Nait 2.  I soon realised that dreams would only get me so far though and that having a long term plan was far more important!

Throughout it all, the most important lesson I learned was; always enjoy what you actually have.

Cheers,

Ian

Agreed.    Not only does it look good I bet it sounds superb, I run a supernait 1 and unitiqute 2 into my Sbl mk2s via nac a5, sometimes I struggle to get of my listening chair in the mornings to go to work. and that's just listening to radio paradise.

Hybrid and somewhat hand knitted but economic, versatile and sounding excellent.

@GraemeH -nice!

SN2, Sonos and Hugo I can identify.

How does Hugo fit into the chain - presumably as a source for the SN2?

What is below them?

Posted on: 27 March 2015 by GraemeH

Thanks - It is a Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker to the left and Kingrex Mk2 9v linear power supply powering it to the right.

The signal comes from Sonos digital out into the reclocker and from there into Hugo.  Then from Hugo to SN2/HCDR and out to PMC Twenty.23.

What you need is a set of doors for the cabinet! I'm sure it sounds good, but it is sort of geeky. I wonder about all these little boxes, particularly if they will be worth anything when the next wonder-tweak comes along.

Allaes replaced with Kudos X3s - sound great.

Apologies - manages to post same photo twice!

A low chaise hides my inner geek i.e. everything below SN2/HCDR!
