System Pics 2015

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 21 December 2014

It's the 21st of December, so it's time for the new System Pics thread.

The SuperUniti and UnitiServe are the same as last year, but the Hutter rack and PMC twenty.23s are new.

I'd like to say magical powers, but it's just a piece of plastic trunking, which we had put in at the same time as having the fireplace installed.

Hi Chris,

I would like more information on Vicoustic panels, which product are you using. They look stunning in that room a perfect match for you equipment.

Very nice that^

I love how sometimes the simplest stuff just looks so cool and retro.  Love it!

I recently got an LP12 and am still jigging my set up around (sometimes the excitement of buying a new component can be negated by the arseache of moving everything around and messing with ones chi) so will get some pics up when it's done

I confess, I have no idea what it is but.......there is something just wonderful about a picture of a turntable doing its thing.

Lovely.

Hi Christopher,

I am considering purchasing Vicoustic panels for my rear wall, it is a very small room 3.4x 3.4mtrs not the best.

There appears to be two models available Wavewood and Wavewood 60, what would you suggest.

Ps. Your room is fantastic.

Many thanks,

2014 changes:  Kudos Titan's, Chord Sarum TA interconnects + ethernet,  2 x 555, Vicoustic room treatments.

Streamer,

I would suggest contacting your local Vicoustic distributer.  They can help you design the best solution. Even a modest installation like mine netted a huge improvement in the sound.  Highly recommended.

Surely you realise it's all photoshopped!

Finally after years of lusting after one I have one of these - Sondek!  My life is complete.  It was a bit rough when I got it but mechanically sound.  Spent a day cleaning it all and it looks mint now.  Machine polished the original smoked lid (I am also into car detailing and have a full pro 3M polishing kit) and it looks great now.  It was really really bad when it arrived but now it looks great!!

Anyway here are the photo's after moving everything about and getting it all set up.  I have to say thanks to Jon (faux) off here too as he has given me loads of advice and never got tired of my never ending questions and obsessive maniacy haha...

And one of the whole rig with the SBL's:

I have to admit that looks like a lovely set up. It all cleaned up beautifully. It all works well. I wonder what the CB Nait 2 would have added.
Where next I ask???

Lewis, do you have a pic of the lid post-polish? I remember a thread on detailing world a while back where a chap 'detailed his kitchen' and I remember wondering how detailing gear could be used off label, so to speak.

This isn't the place for a big digression, perhaps, but a bit of mint lid appreciation seems appropriate.
