System Pics 2015

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 21 December 2014

It's the 21st of December, so it's time for the new System Pics thread.

The SuperUniti and UnitiServe are the same as last year, but the Hutter rack and PMC twenty.23s are new.

Does the glass actually contain Laphroaig or TCP as we call it?

TCP?

It's an antiseptic liquid used for cleaning cuts and grazes. Some people have been known to use it for gargling as a mouthwash.

A lovely tipple, the Laphroaig, of course.  The peaty flavour is not for everyone though.

Yep - misses hates it, but i love it. Agree it can smell a bit medicinal but i like the strong flavour

They look like Atacama spike shoes to me but perhaps pixies will confirm.

Oooh. I can sense a 'best malt' thread in the Padded Cell.

I once tried Talisker 100 - 57% vol. It dries out your Buchal Mucosa, so well, it feels like your mouth, tongue, and larynx have been "Axminstered"

The 57 degrees North (57%) is lovely. The standard Talisker is great too, as is the Distiller's Choice. The distillery is in a truly wonderful location - we visited last autumn.

Yes they are Atacama spike shoes. I also like Talisker!

Cheers for the recommendations on the Whisky. I'll take a look at the Talisker.

There seems to be a dearth of system pics on this thread at the moment, so here's a picture of my new coffee table...

My favourite Islay Malt is Caol Ila.

Graham, the S1 preamp compliments the classic boxes very well indeed. A stupendously superb looking system indeed.
