I am sure were it happening where you lived, you would draw great solace if Mrs Ronen were droned or bombed or shot, knowing that it wasn't intended to kill her.  At at the casualty levels the US has built up, it is not just an occasional careless accident.  It's a policy of "I don't give a s**t about human life, because the end justifies the means."

And as recently exposed documents (in Der Spiegel) from Snowden's cache reveal, NATO knew it was killing children in Afghanistan in an effort to get at low level Taliban hacks and the drug dealers that supported them.  Another non-story to the "free" US press.

Not to mention, we have no f***ing right to be there...unless you count corporate interests and trying to run the whole damn world.  Unfortunately, things are so screwed up now that it would take decades to calm down even if the US stopped treat most of the rest of the world like crap.

I expect it's Mossad again, they're responsible for most things. Or maybe the CIA, or that bloke who planted the explosives in the Twin Towers. Or maybe the Illuminati did it. Who knows, but I expect someone will come along at some point to tell us.

I reckon it's North Korea. Or maybe the NSA pretending to be North Korea so the USA can then accuse the North Koreans of........ Oh, no.  I've just heard Nigel Farage say it's down to immigration and too much multiculturalism.  Yes, that must be it.

Good old Nige! What a sage. He's got the answer to everything!

Back on topic. It's been a really shitty few days, hasn't it/ But I've just been watching the Beeb and the enormous (one million-plus) march through Paris: dignified, peaceful and defiant. Fair warmed me cockles, so it did.

Nice theory, but very simplistic. Brevik was an extreme racist/white supremacist. The Hebdo killers and the pair who killed the Jews at the supermarket were subscribers to to the most toxic strands of extremist Islamism. All involved probably had psychopathic tendencies - particularly a lack of empathy - but were really motivated by anger and attachment to extremist ideologies they felt could assuage that anger.

Just had the pop up as well

Posted on: 11 January 2015 by Don Atkinson

Yes, it keeps on popping on my screem. A bloody nuisance.

As a matter of priniciple, I don't like to click on un-requested pop-ups, e-mails etc.

Now if Naim were to come on line and confirm they were sponsoring some sort of event relating to French cartoonists, then I would be inclined to click "Mark as Read"

Otherwise I suggest they get it removed as soon as possible.

Just got it again. Puzzling

Posted on: 11 January 2015 by Frenchnaim

Yes, I got it as well. Naim really ought to investigate and tell us what it is about. I don't want viruses, or anything like that in my system.

Posted on: 11 January 2015 by Paul Stephenson

Sorry if you click it you will never see it again, it was done yesterday in support of the  Paris event.

Posted on: 12 January 2015 by tonym

Yes, I assumed it was Naim's support Paul. I was pleased to see it.

Thanks Paul. Good to see Naim supporting such an issue.

Apologies for having doubts, but there has been a spate of phishing e-mails recently and I was probably being over cautious.

Blimey. These people really must be the least happy on the face of god's good earth...

I'm usually distrustful of "Council bans Christmas for fear of upsetting Muslims" type stories, but it appears, bizarrely, this is actually true! Surreal!

It will be interesting on Wednesday when the next edition is published.

Wednesday's edition of Charlie Hebdo will 'naturally' contain cartoons of Prophet Mohammed, the magazine's lawyer has announced.

I also wonder how Private Eye will handle it here in the UK.
