New toys so more questions.

OK so S/H MacMini on it's way my kit dac decides it's not going to play anything on the coaxial input, so shoot off to Richer Sounds and get a DAC Magic 100, for £100. Not willing to lash out on a Hugo(or whatever)  just yet.

DM installed OK sounds a little better than old unit, saying that it's taken the USB - Coax converter out of the  chain.

When we arrive home the MacM has been delivered about 4 days early, so I have that to play with.

I'm off to see how to clear previous owners set-up, any hints for this ? Or set up in general.

Minimum set-up should be iTunes  USB into DAC. So stuff like e-mail, iPhoto etc can I/should I remove or just suppress it?

Is there a way to access my hires files via the asset on my Hard drive ?  iTunes data is stored there in one volume and HR fil
