F1 - 2015 Season!

Posted by: Tony2011 on 21 January 2015

Here here we go again. Williams is the first to unveil their new car for the 2015 season.

Oh, dear! It looks like the trend this year among the designers and engineers are uglier and wider front spoilers.  I wonder what the other teams are going to come up with!

nah, they just can't play with the tyre pressure anymore since they got caught last time around.

What price a VW buyout of Red Bull now?

I bet Horner's having some high emission levels of his own today...

I wondered this too.  I thought he looked uncharacteristically 'rabbit in the headlights' when interviewed on Saturday. Like his inner confidence was shot.

Singapore GP was so boring. I think if Jenson Button retires I may just stop watching Formula 1 all together.

Less boring if the guy taking selfies in the middle of the racetrack had been chopped in half by a Ferrari, probably taking the driver with him. What a tw*t! (Or if subsequently found to be mentally ill...what a tw*t).

Though I wonder if this is giving Bernie new format ideas, a la
'Death Race 2016'...

How many points for a pregnant nun with disabilities?

So, VW was in talks with RB to supply their engines for 2016. I wonder if they still are after the wonderful mess they created?

LOL. That is certainly a way of solving some of  of the hospitals and NHS crises.

PS: The original film was much better than the remake. Don't forget those incredibly bad special effects. Great fun!

Incident packed race today!

That about wraps it up for LH surely?

I'm not a big fan of Rosberg but you have to feel sorry for the bloke with the l(bad) uck he's had this season.

Agreed. It's LH's title for sure. My main concern is the possible loss of the Red Bull team if they don't find a new engine contract for next year.

Can I suggest the 'NooNoo' as an alternative to hand sweeping the innards of the crash barrier? It took an age to clear up.

Things are looking up for McLaren. Apparently JB was convinced to stay by Ron Dennis after getting an early sneak peak of Honda's R&D for the coming Winter and he's convinced already about the extra horse power available over this year's effort...

Same source as above, Sniff Petrol:-

Darth Vader is the ‘right man’ to rule the universe and should have remained as supreme commander of the Imperial fleet, according to remarks made by Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.

‘I don’t think he should have been electrocuted and then left on an exploding Death Star,’ Ecclestone said in an interview for Russian television. ‘If a few planets got blown up, it’s good. That’s the tax the universe had to pay.’

‘Yes, many innocent people got lasered to death,’ the mop-haired micro**** continued. ‘But who hasn’t done that, eh?’

The Vader camp immediately tried to distance themselves from Ecclestone’s remarks with a spokesman noting they had no affiliation with ‘such an evil regime’.

Explanation:

If anyone has not been following BE's recent statements he thinks FIFA President Sepp Blater should stay on, as he is the best man for the job.

English: Mercedes F1 car and engine, triple world champion, back to back world champion.

What a race. What a champion.

Lighten up Nico. For Gods sake Lewis be a bit more British about it and stop pissing about with your hair. But well done!!!

Not  the most exciting season I've ever seen through out the years, although not technically over, but congratulations to Lewis for his very mature third title and for Mercedes professionalism despite a couple of mishaps along the way.  Well done!

Did anyone else hear Lewis Hamilton playing the piano on the radio a couple of days ago? He said that while his passion for motor racing is well known, and unabated, music is his greatest love..

I did indeed and was quite surprised I admit.  Pussycat dolls excepted.

A brief switch to two wheels. Congrats to Danny Kent, Moto 3 world champion, now give him a big bike. And some wages to go with it.

...And Mark Webber is World Champion (in WEC)

I recall a young F1 driver  few years back saying that he listened to a very wide range of music. "Everything from U2 to Coldplay" or some-such.....
