That is really sad news indeed; Edgar founded TD and has been a constant throughout the 48 years of their existence; what an innovator.

Electronic Meditation was the first Krautrock album I bought way back the very early 1970s, I still play it occasionally and certainly will tonight. It was a real ear-opener at the time.

Really sad to hear, tangerine dream had a massive impact on my music collection. Cheers for the quality tunes Edgar!  R.I.P.

I feel the same; I have always loved the music of TD from hearing at secondary school in the late 70s. The run of albums between roughly 72 and 86 are amazing. He made such an impact, both in the studio and live.

+1, his, TDs and Kraftwerks music was heavily influencial on me and got me interested in Electronics as a career, I sucessfully revised all my engineering maths for my final year B. Eng (Hons) in the time it took to play 'Epsilon In Malaysian Pale' (how's that for a testament to the power of his music, it lasts just over 30 mins).
