Can you play music from iTunes via USB to naim hdx solid state

Hi. I would like to play some music stored in iTunes via my iPhone connected to the USB port of my naim HDX solid state device. I have tried a couple of times but the system doesn't recognise iTunes. Is it all possible to do? The rest of my naim set up (eg nac 202) are older generation and don't have USB ports. Look forward to hearing if there are any options here. Many thanks.
