Naim Muso attached to an A/V amp anyone?

Hi all

I'm getting a home cinema set up. Projector, projector screen screen and an AV amp.

The thing is I'm not all that bothered about 5.1. surround and having to have 6 speakers dotted around the room.

Ideally I would have an AV amp to select all my inputs (Sky, X Box, apple TV etc) hooked up to a naim muso. So the naim would just play whatever input is selected from the AV amp. I imagine it would be connected via the optical cable.

Is this a good / bad idea? Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this? I guess I'm kind of connecting an amp to an amp?

I already have the naim in another room and I absolutely love it. I would rather use it as a sound bar and music system in my home cinema than getting a speaker package.

Interested in your thoughts on what I'm doing and whether you guys think it's a good / bad idea.

Thanks

Ben
