Why is DIN4->RCA topic suddenly locked?

Very odd.  On the face of it, maybe the DIY angle is the problem.  Still, it should be noted that on the most recent Naim USA price list (from the former distributor, the current distributor will not post a price list, or even a stock list), the only Din4->RCA cable listed is a pricey HiLine.  No lavender available for the plebes.

You can't solder a lavender as DIY either and there are plenty other options available as well starting well below £20 if money is the issue.

So I can understand Richard closing the thread due to the DIY aspect.

Not odd at all to me. I'm surprised it wasn't removed from the OP. It's a violation of forum rules regarding alterations to wiring as Richard said in his locking post. I'm not sure there is room here for cost/availability angles.
