Rovi, have still sense to be used?

Rovi is one of the less used feature by me in the Naim App, I found too many mismatch and relative comment almost useless.

I'm just wondering if I'm alone or I mistake something in the use.

I think Naim can just change it to a link to Google for instance or from CD read the code and go for one free database.

Let me to write that Naim probably questioning the same and so more comments are welcome.

Have All a nice weekend.

Ciao bicela, this was discussed a while back with Paul Stephenson, I think it was agreed that although not perfect, its probably as good as needed & hopefully will improve in time.

I found my Rovi mismatches were reduced from ~20 to now only 2 albums,  my fixes were the need to make correct tagging data during/after ripping,  finding the right album & Rovi then seemed to find it again OK,   but my remaining 2 albums with no connections is because they have no tagging data on file with any of the tag houses.

Ciao Mike, stai bene? Ti scrivo una email uno di questi giorni.

yes, I remember the post of Paul, but I've not mentioned it because it was in the beta group.

Anyway your post is interesting for me, as seems that maybe my experience is affected from the mess I have in the tags. Sorting this (in the way that Rovi likes) should sort out all reasonable well.

I'm planning to do so, but every time I start with music in background... Then I stop of enjoy it sound; fortunately not affected by my tag mess.

And so comes back the question, we really need Rovi?
