I am sure that Apple will play catch-up very aggressively with regard to streaming, lossless or otherwise, but it will have to work hard. Other services have a considerable hold, both in the MP3-is-ok domain, and the enthusiast nothing-less-than-CD-will-do camp, already integrated into all i-things and any other device folk are likely to care about. There's nothing about the i-tunes UI that would make me personally want to change, nor most Spotify users I suspect. The i-tunes interface is pretty rubbish to be fair, I am sure they will attempt to improve it as part of this project. Undercutting the competitions' pricing will be interesting though.
