w4s remedy - any experiences?

Hi
I know a few are using this on sonos. I am curious to see if makes any appreciable difference.

Sonos definitely benefits from re-clocking, whether done with an outboard device (Remedy or Synchromesh) or W4S modification... even with a good dac.  It also sounds much better with quality power and digital cables.  I recently switched from a Chord Prodac to Naim DC1 cable and frankly, I'm amazed at the improvement.   Based on my recent trials, sound quality was more or less equal to the ND5XS/V1 combination.

Thanks for reply.
What power cable? Isn't the sonos just a figure of 8?

Custom hifi cables now do a complete psu mod for the sonos, taking out the internal unit so an external linear supply can be added...

With Sonos, I use a Furutech G320 AG 18 power cable.  It's available on Amazon UK, Analog Seduction, and maybe some other UK retailers.  Pricing on your side of the Pond is 164 BP, so it has been marked-up a lot.  (US price equivalent here is $100 BP.)  Expensive but still worth the price, IMO.  Buy with an option to return if you're not pleased. The cable will bring added clarity and life, while a re-clocker will help stabilize the images and make things less digital.  The power cable and re-clocker help make the Sonos Connect into a more serious streamer.  Now if only it came in black and looked more substantial....

I really don't understand why there's not a black version - all the other products come in black. I even asked their rep at the Bristol show a few years back and it was dismissed almost as an irrelevance..

I suppose these components can be hidden away, same with the Bridge, Connect Amp etc. Not quite so easy with the speakers
