UPnP and Webradio connection crashed

Posted by: phil_tailor on 18 February 2015

I hope anyone can help me 'cause it seems like a quite big problem.

Today everything went fine, when I started listening to Webradio in the morning.

But just now I wanted to start again my Webradio and suddenly an error appeared.

It seems that there's no internet connection at all with my Naim Uniti 2 (Version 3.23.0)

There's no connection to Webradio possible at all, the same problem appears with

UPnP. And also the clock cannot show any time (because of internet-synchronisation which

doesn't work).

What's funny is, that i can still control the Naim system via iPad-App (which is also via Wifi).

Also I can browse my Media Library of my NAS. But the big PROBLEM is: I cannot play anything.

What could be the problem?

I am really annoyed. :-(

Thanks and hope to hear from anyone soon.

P.S.: I am still very disappointed that the "old" Naim-App for iPad is gone! Just to control my Naim uniti 2 I bought the iPad, because at first there was no Android-App. The new one totally failed in my opinion. So many missing functions and bugs. And as I wrote to the support of Naim, I never got a message back. Just to say, it's very disappointing.

Switch it off. Leave it 20 seconds. Switch it on.

Unless you allready tried that.

Well, thanks for your reply.

I tried that and it didn't help at first. Later I reset my rooter

and also siwtched on the naim uniti 2 again. Funny, but then

it worked.

Still there are some situations where the webradio and the UPnP

sometimes have connection issues, but at least it works all in all...

Does anyone else have problems with the network/ any tips how

to solve it completely?

+1 for what Bananahead said.

I had a similar issue just now. Having read the comments from Trevor about BBC iRadio streams I thought I'd have another try -  nothing was available at all. So I switched back to UPnP and although it would show all CDs, downloads etc., it simply wouldn't connect (nStream just says '...Connecting...').

This UPnP issue often happens and switching it off, waiting 10 seconds or so and turning it on again has always (so far, at least) solved the problem. I didn't try iRadio again!
