UQ2 Broken digital 2 input. What to do?

Posted by: Peter Fransen on 23 February 2015

Please, if this is not the right place to ask support, advise me where to post the request below...

When I removed the optical cable from my UQ2, little peaches of plastic came out the digital2 input socket. It occurred that the lid that covers the digital2 input socket was broken. This lid fastens the Toslink connector. So now this input is useless because without the cover it cannot fasten an optical cable with a Toslink connector. At the moment I only need one optical input so I use the digital4 socket.

So what to do?  If I want the digital input to be fixed, do I have to post my UQ2 to Naim? What will it cost and how long will it be away? Or is there an easier solution?

many thanks in advance.

Phone Naim HQ if you have not done so already.

I'm guessing you're not based in the UK? Do you have a Naim dealer nearby, if they can do the repair it's going to save you quite a bit of time and money.

No, I'm not UK based. I now see the support topic with the contact data again, so I will send a mail first. I think the UQ2 still has waranty in that case I'll hope to agree on sending it in later, but still under warranty.
