NAC-N 272

Looks like there was a more reasonable explanation for all those ex-dem NAC 282s after all.

Please share. What would that be?

Possibly - but I would wait and listen - I would be surprised if the N272 betters a 282 with HiCap - I might be wrong - but looking at the layout - or more relevantly comparing the 282 and 272 I feel it unlikely - even Naim suggest it lies between 202 and 282 and the layout amongst other things in the close proximity of noisy electronics ultimately holds it back.  Free lunches are few and far between - but do occasionally happen.

Agree the proof of the pudding etc.  But think there wont be any further analogue preamps from Salisbury, only a big line up of power supplies and the odd Bentley ICE. Always makes me laugh when I search eBay n Bentleys come up. Not sure if the racing driver: JV, would have approved or not.

Sure we all know him now, a mix of Jesus, Gandhi, Jobs, MLK and JFK, with a twist of Michael Palin and Sterling Moss.

And of of course we all know intimately what he'd make of the current Naim line-up.
