Naim App Bug?

I have an issue possibly with the Naim app. When I select a track to play, my ND5XS receives the command and, according to the front panel display, starts playing it. Only trouble is there's no sound. If I reselect the track on the app, then the track restarts and the sound appears. It has occasionally taken four or five attempts to get something to come out of the ND5 but mostly the second attempt does the job. I have the streamer networked using a cable connection and there are no other issues.
Is this an app bug or is my ND5 faulty?
