As for streaming services, if you're content with 320kbps, why not Spotify? Yes, it maxes out at 320, unlike Qobuz etc. But it integrates well with the UQ2 and fairly well with the Naim app, it's comparatively cheap, and has the biggest catalogue.

There are of course reasons not to favour Spotify or indeed streaming services in general, but if you're happy with 320, it's hard to beat.

@dave
Dont you need the spotify connect version of the UQ2 for spotify streaming?
Posted on: 23 March 2015 by Dave***t

If you've got a UnitiQute 2, but it doesn't have spotify connect, there's a firmware update available which will enable it.

There can be issues with older UnitiQute 1 models, but any UQ2 should be able to be updated to use connect.

Yeah I have unitiqute2
Can I update it myself or only dealer is authorised to?

Any Uniti or ND series product can be updated with the 4.01 software downloaded from our website and the 24/192 units will support Spotify Connect functionality when used with a Spotify Premium account.

Best Regards

Just to confirm, yes, you can do it yourself, you don't need your dealer to download & install it for you.

There are instructions in the download package, and if you look back through the forum you should find a few threads talking about the process.  The last update (which was the one which introduced spotify connect) wasn't too long ago.  If anything does go wrong - which is fairly unlikely if you follow the instructions properly - then your dealer should be able to help.
