Time Display on Superuniti

Posted by: Timmo1341 on 13 April 2015

Try as I may, I cannot get the 1 hr alteration to time zone needed after BST arrived to stick on my Superuniti! Would someone be kind enough to talk this simpleton through the precise steps needed? The incorrect time display is driving me mad!

You have 2 options:

1) Factory reset, but you will lose some settings such as preset radio stations, which may or may not be an issue for you.

2) Wait for the next firmware update which will have a fix - Naim are aware of the issue.

Thanks Chris - at least I now know it's not me! All of a sudden it's not that important; guess I'll wait for the firmware update.

If you do the reset, you need to tell the app not to accept automatic time adjustment, which is what doesn't work. You'll then be able to adjust the time zone via the front panel menu. Like you said, though, it's easier to wait a while. I never use the clock on my SU, but nonetheless it's mildly irritating when the time is wrong.

I don't use the clock face on my SUniti but I do use

the alarm in the morning to get me started with

Radio Paradise.  So twice a year I just alter the time

manually using the remote...simples, as they say.

Not so simple any more though Jim.

If you've got the latest firmware then this no longer works.  It's a recognised bug.  Don't upgrade until the next release, or you'll be getting up an hour early / late!

Ah ha...thanks for the heads up, Mr Williams.

I'd somehow got the impression that fixing this irritating bug was a high priority....but the weeks are ticking by, and it still ain't fixed.

Agreed Goon525 - it's kind of our clock in the lounge, and a bit annoying it's still an hour out.

Naim, where's our fix?

Also, I did the Factory Reset . . . but there was still a problem. My wife and I have an iPad and a phone each, all with the app, so that's four devices. I found the Factory Reset worked fine until I controlled the Naim with a different device, and then the clock went wrong again.

So for the benefit of others in this situation, you have to do the Factory Reset and then tell every instance of the app you use not to do automatic time adjustment. I can't be bothered to do it though, so I'll wait. And wait. And wait.

Hi All,

Same problem with UnityLite. Wrong time on display

  • Factory Reset
  • Adjust time possible (time zone change)
  • Ignoring daylight saving time request on app
  • Couple of hours all right
  • Than wrong time again

Irritating because of usage display as clock in living room.

Quick answer from Naim support to wait for update

Hope for firmware update soon.

Same story for me: I want to change to Summer time/Daylight saving on my 172XS and UnitiQute-1 (both updated with latest firmware).

I adjust the time using the remote, and it simply ignores the request and stays on wintertime.

I'm glad I read this thread as I'm having the same trouble with my Unitiqute 2 and was wondering whether I'd missed something obvious!  Ah well at least the time agrees with the clock in my car ;-)
