Charles Tyrwhitt shirts - any good?

Posted by: hungryhalibut on 18 April 2015

I seem to get offers on shirts from this company - for sale at £22.95 from an alleged £80 - quite often. I've been buying Autograph tailored fit shirts from M&S for a while, but the price has risen from £30 to £35 and the range is very small. So I thought I'd give the Tyrwhitt shirts a go; one formal and one casual. Does anyone here wear these? Are they actually good shirts, and importantly, do they last?

The CT non-iron shirts are the best quality non-irons I have found - you really only have to iron them if you are very fastidious, and the fabric is very soft for a non-iron.

My favourite shirts are the bespoke ones made for me by Mr Butcher at Budd & Co. They do a very nice linen shirt. Those do need ironing however!

The thing about non - iron shirts is they look a lot crisper than normal shirts after you have been wearing them for a couple of hours, whether you have ironed them or not.
