How much energy to play the guitar?

So I was thinking... How does the efficiency of the process of creating the music compare to the process of replaying a recording of the music. I was sat there listening to Anthony Phillips play the acoustic guitar and wondering. I mean here I was consuming possibly well over a 150 joules per second (that's NAS, player, amp, as a guess) of electricity when the original player was possibly only using a fraction of that to create the same sound volume.

Seems the human body is better at making noise than the HiFi.

Just thinking that's all. ;-)

Only if they are acoustic.
