Naim dealers: North & South Devide!

Posted by: Tony2011 on 25 April 2015

In my quest to upgrade one of the components in my system,  I have been talking to a few dealers across the country and came to the conclusion that the further up I called(from London)  the warmer the reception and customer service were. Has anyone else  experienced this?

Which is cheaper?

For S/H stuff definitely the North. New gear, as expected , it's all the same around the country.

Pity those people across the border want independence. They were some of the friendliest folks I've ever dealt with.

I thought our oat eating neighbours voted to remain part of the union. Independence is sooo last year. They seem quite content with the prospect of screwing David Cameron.

I’m from the north of England, and dealt with many dealers and their staff in my time, all I’ll say is Arthur Daly comes across as being a friendly helpful chap.

The advice offered by my dealer in Chester (that's about half way up the country if you include Scotland and near the top if you don't) is always helpful, mostly unbiased (as long as you like Naim), and honest.   And on top of that his coffee is OK too.

My experience a good few years ago south of London, was nowhere near as pleasant.  So that's probably why I've spent a fortune on Naim kit since I've been up here...

I think you're right Tony.
