Misalignment on Naim logo?

Posted by: bicela on 29 April 2015

Today I realised that the plastic Naim logo in my 250 is slightly misaligned with the aluminium surface, there is a little inward step.
Are yours the same?

Warm regards, Maurizio

Some of my black boxes have the logo flush, some have a very slight recess. Maybe a millimetre. I suspect this is simply variability of fit when the plastic logo is slotted into the metal case, nothing more.

If you look in the mirror, you'll see that your ears are at slightly different heights.

Ciao Mau, come stai in questi giorni, come e la famiglia?
Mine is most noticeable with illumination levels.  They all seems to vary & its just luck if you get them to be the same all the time,  I guess the more boxes you have, the problem gets worse.

I also have 3 different finishes on the boxes,  NAT-05 is sand textured to touch,  NDX is smooth & polished vertical machined "grain" lines,  SN is also smooth & grained like NDX but has different level of touch smoothness - its all part of the Naim experience.

Whatever it all sounds superb - Mrs Mike is out tonite so volume is a small bit further around. This evening I have a concert of rock/folk/americana,  J.J.Cale, Knopfler, Clapton, Elias,  when Mrs Mike returns we might open a red something.   ..........   Cordiali Saluti

Gosh, HH. How can you see that from Emsworth?

Years ago I had an olive 92/90. The green light/logo was always much brighter on the power amp than on the pre, but I never bothered to complain. But then, I once took my LP12 in for a service and it came back with the red LED not working - I didn't complain then either, I actually prefer it that way.

With flatfishes it’s only the eye that migrates to one side of the head. In halibut the eye moves to the right-side of the body. The auditory organ, or lateral line, remains bilaterally-opposed, as do the fins. Enough ichthyology on a hifi forum

Dears, back from work and what a surprise on answers!

Should I need to ask more details on my Naim?

Dear Mike, all fine here, just too busy at work in these weeks and waiting to sell my Uniti2 for allowing the upgrade to 272.
