Should I update to firmware 4.1?

If you want Spotify Connect now, update now (but disable auto time zone/sync after reset). Otherwise, wait for the next firmware version.
It depends if you want iradio to start up on its own at random (at all hours) and generally be a right royal PITA, and push your patience to the limit? Only you can decide! May I suggest you stick with what you have.
Spookily 30 seconds after typing my reply, guess what, the Qute starts playing!! Just wow! PLEASE SORT NAIM, IT IS TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!
I suspect you won't have too long to wait for the next update, which will certainly be worth going for IMO. There's a simple workaround for the random startup bug, which only occurs when left on iRadio, but the next update will include a fix for that as well as other goodies, so probably best to wait.
Sounds very spooky Justin :-)

Yes wait be patient very patient. In fact don't update to the new firmware, when its released, until you know about all the bugs that one will introduce and then decide if its worth it. I cant remember how long ago the last bug free update was, it's that long ago.
Lars, please if I may balance up the negative vibes that some of these replies are giving:
4.1 firmware is not full of bugs & problems, its a good upgrade & also enables Spotify.
If you are concerned with the random start up - which I & many others have never experienced - then leave your amp on mute. I always leave my NDX set to Nat-05 FM tuner or TV so that the NDX is as "OFF" as it can possibly be & not actually running anything, & to-be-sure-to-be-sure mute the amp.
But to turn very positive & endorse ChrisSU post, I would wait a few more days & install the next public release which not only adds DSD capability but also does amazing things with iRadio.

My Qute on 3.22 does this - it's not exclusive to 4.1! The work-round is hardly a chore though.

+1, I never experienced the rndom start up with my qute 2. The next upgrade is indeed excellent, even if you can't take advantage of the DSD the Iradio is excellent.

My own 40 years experience in the IT industry suggests there is no such thing as a bug-free software / firmware update.
One's prayer, early in the morning of the day the update is released, is that the impact of said bugs will be minimal and that, once discovered, they will the kind that can be speedily recified.
One's other prayer is that the guys and girls who were on the testing team realised what the software was supposed to do and could recognise when it was not doing that (more easily said than done, incidentally).
Memories... I thank the Lord I'm now out of that game and able to sleep nights

Anyone at liberty to say what these are?
The short answer is no. One of the conditions of being part of the testing team is that one is not allowed to discuss features yet to be released. I would say however, without betraying any confidences, that the latest firmware has been very, very thoroughly tested and the time setting bug is resolved. As to what other features may or may not be included....................

i'm still in it ... and sleep? what's that?
