Spotify glitch with superuniti streamer

Posted by: Kiwi cat on 01 May 2015

I have enjoyed using spotify over the last few months and it continues to work well when played through Bluetooth car stereo and on speakers in my iPhone and iPad. However over the last week when playing spotify music on the superuniti the songs will suddenly cut off and the progress marker on the app will go back to 0 seconds. It is essentially making spotify useless on my naim gear. A song will usually play for no more than 90 seconds before it abruptly stops.

I have tried resetting  the SU to factory settings and also have deleted the spotify app on my iPhone and iPad and then reinstalled to no avail.

Is it a glitch in the firmware that has suddenly appeared?

hi kiwi

spotify reported an issue with spotify connect yesterday, which is now apparently resolved.

could i ask for a few items please

1. geographic location

2. firmware versions : goto settings, factory settings , system status and then i would like to know the following

a) version

b) BC SW

c) ident (if available depends on your code version)

d) mac address

can this be sent to support@naimaudio.com please - we are already talking to Spotify on this. However as its mayday holidays in Europe it could be a few days (hope not though!)

Hi Trevor,

I have been using spotify on the Superuniti for a couple of months with no problem. This week spotify connect is not working at all and the SU shows the following message on the screen “Error. Can’t contact Spotify server.”

Should I send to support@naimaudio.com the same items you asked for to kiwi?

Hi all,

weve re had a few issues reported recently. Spotify are aware. They suggest that a power cycle on the naim kit and the iOS/android devices and try again

That sounds like the response you get from every help desk I've ever known. 'Have you tried turning it off and turning it on again?'  The thing is, it often works.
