The Computer Audiophile... "Naim working on Tidal Integration"

Posted by: GregW on 27 May 2015

Some potential good news. In a review of the NDX Network Player / DAC and XPS Power Supply, The Computer Audiophile mentions that Naim is working on Tidal integration.

Note: I've been told Naim is working on TIDAL integration that will enable users to stream lossless music directly to the NDX and other Naim products.

No mention is made if Tidal will be directly integrated or via the Roon app.

Here's a link to the full review. Spoiler alert. He liked it :-) http://www.computeraudiophile....power-supply-review/ I am guessing this link is ok because Naim provided the test unit.

Greg,

I think you were beaten to the punch here:

But, as you say, his comment about Tidal is encouraging news.

I do wonder if there are a few services Naim are developing integration for, there was speculation in January that Naim would release Qobuz integration later in the year / late summer as well

From a product point of view I guess it makes sense to develop integration for a few services to cater for regional  and  musical tastes such as Qobuz ( Europe centric / classical, jazz), Tidal (more U.S. Centric contemporary pop)

You've got this backwards.  We gave you Jazz so we should have Qobuz and you gave us One Direction!   :-)  Just kidding.  I'll take either or.

Just me or has 'Tidal' raised their price subs recently... sure I saw £26 per month quote on line... if so its a fair jump from the £20 of last year.
