Problem streaming with Unitiqute 1

Hope someone can help here.

After unsuccessfully trying to get a Netgear router index my complete collection of FLACs and MP3s off a hard drive (the router includes a upnp server function) I reverted to trying to use my laptop to act as a upnp server.  I tried a variety of software applications, including MediaMonkey and Asset, but while the Unitiqute reads the media library fine, it does not manage to actually play any music, and seems to time out every time.  The strange thing is, when I stream music stored on my phone running BubbleUPNP from the UQ it works fine, and equally, I can successfully stream music stored on the laptop to my phone using Bubble!  The only combination that does not work is streaming from my laptop to the Unitiqute!

I was wondering if anyone had similar problems and can suggest what to try next.
