Great actor and a true gentleman.
The original dark lord has passed away at the tender age of 93.

Yes, I agree Tony. I've always liked CL as an actor, and not just in the Hammer films. He's had a great innings.
But is he really gone..............?????

It's not yet midnight!
MWAH HA HA HAA
If I remember correctly, he was born on May 27th, exactly the same day as the other Gemini Vincent Price.
A sign of distinction for us all Mercurials.

I'm both a Gemini & a twin. Pity it's a load of clap-trap!

Really sad news.He was such a classy actor. If he was in a film you knew it would be half descent.
He will be sadly missed.
RIP Chris
A lovely man and a great actor. Many years ago I found myself standing next to him in a pub in Sunbury. I had to say hello & he was extremely courteous and tolerant of a bumbling teenager.
Did you know that Christopher Lee was amongst other things was a Geriatric Heavy Metal God. He received the Golden Award from Toni Iommi of Black Sabbath. He recorded recently albums in 2010 and 2013, check out Jingle Hell (2012), a light hearted holiday romp through the inferno and look up
Metal Knight (2014), a Don Quixote inspired concept album that explored the rich intersection between the literary world and strident noise ( I am quoting from a website I think is called 'Read This.list).
Christopher Lee for me would be the ideal person to sing heavy metal songs!

Thanks Romi I had no idea of that award! He was one of those rare actors that have been ever present in my life from my early first memories of his television and film work for Hammer in the '50s right through to The Hobbit last year. Thanks for the memories Sir Christopher.
