Problems creating playlists

I have searched for the answer to this question without finding an answer. Using latest android app with unitiqute2. When I try to add a single track to a playlist, the whole album is added. And I get the message playlist full. What do I need to do to get this to work? It used to work with previous version on iPad? Thanks.
