Drobo 5n, iTunes, NAIM driving me crazy, please help!

Hi there,

I've been tying to get the n-serve app running on Mac OS to read the m3u playlists generated from iTunes but it fails all the time. Once I generate the m3u file and scan it with the n-serve app, the playlist is only partially created on the naim (a large chunk of the content is missing). The songs and m3u files themselves reside on a drobo 5n to which the n-serve is directed through the "network shares" section. Where should I look to troubleshoot this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Too many variables for me to be prescriptive, but I do know of several that have given up with Drobo and Mac OSX through issues of corruption and missing data.. Not helpful I am afraid, but it is my experience. Can you borrow another NAS to see if it all 'starts to work' ?

Thanks Simon,

That is the route I will probably have to take to resolve this issue once and for all.

Perhaps a tadge of irony being a long term mac user but I found drobo wayyy over priced for what it is. Admittedly I had a gen 1, back in the day so I am sure they must be better now, but mine was not a good experience and two new harddrives failed in it within a year.

As I say I expect they are better now.
