UnitiServe HD upgrade and data copy

Posted by: deepinsight on 15 June 2015

Hi,

I have a UnitiServe 1Tb hd model and wondered if anyone knows the cost of the upgrade to the 2Tb and SSD version?

Also, given Synology's latest update, what is the best method of copying my rips back to the US HD ?

I cannot recall how much I paid, but I had the 1tb to 2tb update performed.

I would HOPE that by the time this is done, the Synology issues will be in the past and you'll have no trouble restoring.

Also, there is some chance that the people who do the update for you can and will pull your music off of your old drive and put it onto the new one.  I had to have my 2tb drive replaced due to failure, and they recovered all the music and reloaded it onto the new drive (I had a backup at home but was pleased to get it ready to use right out of the box!).

I had a very early 1tb model and recently got it upgraded to 2tb, the disk was starting to play up. Coust £285 from memory. They also replaced the power supply for a new model, and replaced the naim logo light. All music loaded by naim onto the new disk.

Don't know about ssd.
