UnitiServe interrupts actions with "Please Wait..."

Having recently upgraded my UnitiServe version 1.7b I now notice that when I am performing operations via the browser interface, the message "Please Wait..." on a screen displaying a Naim CD appears.
This happens about every 15 seconds and returns me to the Home Menu each time.
Anyone else experienced this, and if so how can it be cured?
