Ipad cannot find Mu-so (cabled) Bonjour problem?

Posted by: Matthijs on 18 June 2015

Until today I used my Ipad and Mu-so wirelessly. Good combination. Today I tried the Mu-so UTP-cabled. In that way  the Mu-so is no longer visible on the Ipad and cannot be used as Airplay-speakers. Using the app Fing shows the presence of the Mu-so in the network however.  Soneone said this is probably due to the Bonjour-protocol in the router. Is someone familiar with this problem?

"Airplay speakers" . . . are you not using the Mu-so with the Naim App and a music server?

In any event, I would start with something much simpler.  If you've moved the Mu-so from wifi to wired, it has probably acquired a new IP address.  The iPad may not have realized this yet.

Thanks Bart for replying so soon! I'll try your suggestion of the IP-address. I may have overlooked that.

I think I am mixing up things. I do indeed use Spotify and sometimes Deezer and the Naim app. When using the wireless way the Mu-so shows up in Spotify and Deezer. When cabled however I cannot see the Mu-so.

I started the setup again. I now have the Spotify app working (!) but the Deezer app does not see the Muso.

When checking the naim app I came across this. When I ticked the Rooms/chambers ( I don't know the English word, I have the Dutch version) and after that the 3 dots under the Mu-so sign I got this message: Bonjour detection does not work, no firmwareupdate data available. Check your network.

Do you know what this means?
