Bad UK driving or What is the last concert you never made it to?

A bit of a rant but topical.

I bought a ticket to see Maxim Vengerov play the Sibelius concerto with the excellent Oxford Philomusica yesterday. Left Brighton at 2:30pm in my car, hit the M25 at 3:10 ish and was still on it at 6pm due to three incidents and an awful lot of cars on the road. I was looking for a parking space in Oxford when Vengerov was taking to the platform.

I can't believe how bad driving in the UK has become.  Everyone is tailgating, or wandering in the right hand lanes or eating their breakfast cereal.

It doesn't help that the trains to Oxford are dire too.

Did anyone get to see the concert?  I spent the evening visiting pretty villages off the Swindon Road instead.
