What no Glastonbury thread?
If you are at home, like me, what are you watching, really enjoyed, looking forward to?
Just digging Gregory Porter and before that some far out Japanese jazz band.
just saw Courtney Barnett... great...so just ordered her LP.
looking forward to The Who on Sunday and expect them to blow the world apart and show the kids how its done!
Richard
Also looking forward to Steel Pulse on Sunday evening.
Now watching Paloma Faith doing Hendrix..... Purple Haze.
Slaves!!!
I am a convert and am I the only one watching it?
Richard
Think I should stop posting.
Now watching Paloma Faith doing Hendrix..... Purple Haze.
I was intrigued by this, so googled up a you-tube vid of her doing this. Truly appalling. She has as much charisma as, as........as something that has no charisma at all. As a $h!t performer she even gives the completely talentless Fergie from the BEP a run, and that's not something I thought I'd ever be saying.
I've been too busy to watch Richard, what with the good weather and all. I saw a little late last night and I might tune in later tonight. I wasn't too impressed with what I saw, the Libertines were awful and even Alabama Shakes didn't do it for me. I guess I'm getting too old for this modern stuff.

I though Alabama Shakes weren't to bad. Had to sit through Florence today
Paloma Faith what is that all about ....
Jessie Ware on the red button was stunningly good.
Keith
Kanye West is on now with what seems an expletive every 5 seconds. I think it's time for bed.
I recorded last nights so called highlights. Could only stand to listen to three Florence songs, fast forwarded through the rest of the set. The only act I really enjoyed was Hot Chip, although Mark Ronson wasn't bad.
I haven't really enjoyed Glastonbury for a few years now. A couple of years ago the BBC covered the Cambridge Folk festival, I enjoyed that a lot more even though I don't really like folk, although to honest a lot of the acts weren't strictly folk.
Talking fast under a shed load of light bulbs doesn't make you Jimmy Page, time to turn over
I've decided to watch the golf on Sky Sports instead.

You'll be ZZZZZZeding soon.
Cambridge is full of talented people - no rap.
Just noticed the programme includes Death Cab for Cutie, Belle & Sebastian and the Moody Blues: so why has the BBC chosen to put complete rubbish on BBC2 tonight for its licence payers.
I thought most of the acts could be watched on the catchup TV/iplayer.

It's just finished. Goodnight.
Women's world cup for me
+1
Nice to see footballers NOT rolling about like girls when they almost get kicked.

Women's world cup for me to follow the excellent T20 Bash.
I've been impressed with the quality of womens world cup football so far
Kanye West is it me or is he just a bit sh**
He is, just like that circus sideshow crap family he married into.

Really? We'll be watching the Canada match shortly, but I've been very unimpressed with what I've seen thus far.

I haven't watched loads of it so I could have been lucky I guess
Kanye West is it me or is he just a bit sh**
I would be inclined to the former - as I'm a big Kanye fan - so therefore biased

I just saw the goal that put the 'strayans out. One of the ugliest goals in living memory, and 'straya might still be in it, if the defenders had played the ball rather than spent their time with their arms in the air, waiting for the officials to intercede.

Why does that not surprise me?
I am limited to watching on TV away from home, so no Naim amp for SQ, but having sat thru - or should I say watched as much as I could bear - maybe it was better without.
I could tell you what Kayne West is about, but that wouldn't be allowed in polite company. CRap ain't music - period.
The other crap act was Paloma Faith, I've heard better at local talent shows.
The best of last night was Jessie Ware - I will being looking up that ladies work as soon as I get home.
Vintage Trouble were good, amazing crowd wow'er, exhausting to watch, but I got the impression the lead singer & the old geezers in the band didn't match.
Bring back Dolly & Tom I say
Off the Cropredy next - at least the beers good
