Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight

Was having a nostalgia fest this afternoon, and dug out the CDs I'd made from my old singles collection.  I got rid of the originals (big mistake) way back in 1975 when I bought my Tandberg TCD310 and copied them all to cassette (source : Thorens 160/Shure M7EJ via a Trio 4002 amp).  The CDs date from a later dubbing to CD recorder from Nakamichi CR7.

Browsing through these CDs I came across this track "Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In Tonight", putatively by Fleetwood Mac, although I have my doubts about the truth of that.  A great rock pastiche IMO.  Pity I can't seem to track down a new recording.

Anyway, what amazed me was how good these old dubbed twice recordings actually sounded.  Perhaps my newer gear isn't that superior after all.

I should add that this track was on the 2000 reissue of "The Original Fleetwood Mac", but is not on the currently available 2004 reissue.

It was originally credited to "Earl Vince & The Valiants" and was the B side to Need Your Love So Bad, if memory serves me right. It was the Mac having a bit of a lafff...

Sounds right, but you have to remember that it is more than 30 years since I saw the original single.

I had it on the B side of either Albatross or Man of the World.

It was "Man Of The World".
