N-Vi goes Geiger Counter

Posted by: Rod Carr on 17 April 2011

Just got my N-Vi back from Naim after PSU and display replacement. Now I have an extra feature - when playing any 5.1 content (DD or DTS) on the native drive, I get a variable rate clicking, like a Gieger counter.

Anyone come across this, and if so, does it mean I need to uplug and let more dust gather where the n-vi sits?

Sounds like you will need to part with your n-Vi, again.

Or did you change anything or rather wrongly connect something?

I don't think it's connections - Streaming into the coax input works (and sounds) just fine. I suspect it's due for another holiday - clearly it liked Salisbury so much, it wants to go back.

Cheers for the note.

Sorry to hear about this. Can you please contact Steve.Hopkins@naimaudio.com so we can turn this around quickly. Sounds to me like the DVD decoder board has an issue
