Having to convert my hi res files to a lower res so they can be streamed using "party mode", I'm using a program called Switch but after conversion I'm left with the track number in the titles. They weren't there before, tried just deleting (01 etc) but this just stuffs up the menu completely. I've also got a program called Tag & Rename but can't seem to fix the problem with this either. I'm sure it's user error but need some help. Cheers.

dbpoweramp ( a paid software, but with a 21 day fully functional trial ) if you are using a PC, has a batch convert function, just a case of setting what format and settings level.

This should do what you need.

Pete, I would be tempted to not convert the files, but instead run two UPnP media server referencing the same NAS files. However for one of the media servers set it to transcode down to the format required. Minimserver and I am fairly sure Asset can both do this. Name this media server 'Party' or similar, and then you can chose when you stream whether you go full HD on one media server or select the 'Party' media server for the streams suitable for party mode. Nice thing is that you don't need to touch your media files. You may need to run the two media servers on different machines.
