But what 4.3 didn't address...

Posted by: Goon525 on 10 July 2015

Now that the joy over all the good things 4.3 has indeed provided has started to die down, can I remind Naim that one important thing that still hasn't been addressed is the integration of a lossless streaming service. This was something about which Paul Stephenson made positive noises before last Christmas - but there's still no sign of Qobuz or Tidal (Apple having now rendered themselves irrelevant). I know that patience is a virtue, but....

I would defiantly second this, and would name Qobuz directly as a priority.

it seems madness that Linn can find the time and resources to add it. Maybe Naim dont think that it's customers want it, there dosn't seem much lobbying for its inclusion on these forums.

Anyway here's hoping

Naim absolutely do know that their customers want it, and it's been mentioned hundreds of times on the Forum.

Once more for effect.

I prefer the Joe Jackson song, you can't get what you want (till you know what you want). Same idea though.

If not sooner.

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want.

Posted on: 10 July 2015 by hungryhalibut

Please, please, please, let me get what I want this time.  (Just to put a smile on Wat's face)

Nicely hijacked gentlemen

Wat, you are not referring to the Cheeky Cheeky and the Nosebleeds of Framlingham, Suffolk fame are you? The only other notable recent artist I can think of from these parts is Ed Sheeran.. But not sure where Morrisey fits in.

Hi Wat, I don't know whether it's because I'm in Framce, but I can't see your link.. These are the Nosebleeds I am thinking of

[BTW I only learned yesterday that Morrissey in his pre-Smiths days took over from Ed Banger as lead singer in the Nosebleeds: I nearly went through life without knowing that]

I have just launched that Joe Jackson on my Digital Juke Box sounds a bit funky ....

And Vini Reilly, no less, was in the previous lineup.

Qobuz +1 here too .... If I can access their streaming also I'd purchase 'Sublime'

Could this be of interest:

I came across it yesterday evening and managed to load my Qobuz account (already had bubble on my phone)....came as a surprise it would even be possible. Haven't compared sound quality, but seems a viable option to stream Qobuz without the mac mini(s) I use in both systems.....wireless rather than wired, but would be interested to hear other opinions about this.

(even if just a simple...."William, it was (is) really nothing".....)

+1 for Qobuz. Already subscribe to Qobuz Sublime having  succumbed to the "gateway drug" (http://zstereo.co.uk/2014/10/01/naim-mu-so/) and am all set to become a mainliner provided Qobuz is supported by NAC-N 272...

Has the SQ changed for the N-272?

Do you think a Qobuz integration will come soon?

I'd be surprised if Qobuz had a viable future with their model and I believe Tidal is also a flash in the pan, doomed to fail service.
