I am suffering from paranoia that my Unitiserve will fail one day and I will lose all my playlists (my music is backed up on a NAS so no issues). Is there a way to back up the playlist that I create on the Unitiserve?
Note: I am not referring to the playlist from Itunes or any other uPNP. I am referring to the one created using the N-serve app on my Mac or via accessing the US directly from its IP address.
Thanks in advance!

This isn't a true backup solution, and I doubt you'd be able to use it to restore a Unitiserve, but it's a feature I still find useful....as you're using a Naim streamer too, open the playlist in the Naim app. Then hit the ... symbol in the top R corner and select 'add to new playlist.' You'll then have the same playlist stored on the app. Note that this is stored on the app/iOS device, not the streamer, and if you have multiple devices, they each store their own.
For a true backup, I'm pretty sure if you're backing up your US to a NAS, playlist data is stored as well as music files, but I'm away from home at the moment, so I can't check this. I'm sure someone else will chip in.

Interesting question ! I too have been pondering this, although haven't yet contacted Naim HQ for an answer. Earlier this year my 1tb Unitiserve failed, and I sent it back to HQ for a replacement 2tb disk. They managed to recover all of the ripped music, but none of my playlists appeared on the repaired unitiserve. I have back ups on a NAS.
So so the question I have is whether it will be possible to restore the playlists from the NAS back ups.
Any advice appreciated, otherwise I will contact naim.
cheers, Paul
