Dobster,

Did  you shut it down and turn the power switch off on the back and use this to turn it back on again? This can some times cause problems.

That doesn't sound good.  How long has it been doing this for?  I would leave it a couple of hours, and if still no change switch it off with the power switch and try it again.

Given it is basically a Windows computer it may be doing something like a volume scan, or re-indexing which could take a while.

If still not working I would log a message with Naim support (contact details in the sticky thread).

Hopefully you have a backup, so can use a uPnP server the NAS or computer you are using for backup to get music playing again.

I wouldn't leave it for hours . . . if it doesn't boot up in even 15 minutes I really don't think it will.

I think that the best bet is to turn it off and simply try again.  It cannot make matters worse IMHO.  If after a few tries it won't boot, it'll have to go to Naim authorized repair.  (I cannot imagine that Naim service can log into remotely, it if it won't boot up!  That would be some magic!!)

...depends how far through booting it is getting.

If you have a VGA monitor that you can plug into the back of the UnitiServe then you can see if the UnitiServe is giving out any information that is useful for diagnosis.

But best to drop us a mail directly as we don't monitor the forums all the time.
