NDX Back in 'the' House

Posted by: GraemeH on 22 July 2015

Well, after various circuitous streaming diversions an NDX is back fronting a Chord 2Qute. That wonderful mellifluous organic 'natural' sound is back. Anyone doubting the difference the streamer makes, even with an excellent dac, don't kid yourself. There's something about the NDX that excels here. What was I thinking!

Playing 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' as penance and to remind myself 'never again'!

Back in play with 4.3 and sounding just brilliant into the 2Qute. An increased sense of clarity & spatial separation over 3.22 I wonder...?  B.B King's vocal has more subtle intonation than I recall...hmmm.

For info Simon it was a driver/cable issue.  Your 'bootstrap' speculation was the correct one.

Thanks again to Naim & Robbie.

Couldn't agree more. I think 4.3 is a huge leap up from 3.22

Now that it's warmed up I can say I am actually 'gobsmacked' - Totally unexpected.

Hi Martin, when I got my Hugo, I was a little underwhelmed too while it was settling in. Now I would have to say that I'm listening to (and enjoying ) much much more music, and a greater variety of music, than I ever did before. And at the end of the day, that's the whole point of this, isn't it?
